"Offendi" is a term used by residents of Klatch as an honorific to outsiders.

Similar to the term "Effendi," which was used as a title of nobility (equivalent to 'sir' or 'master') in the Ottoman Empire.

Also similar to the term "Offendee", which is English for 'one who is offended.'
