It was named when Goriff went around asking for a word that meant &quot;everyday&quot; until he found one he liked the sound of.<br /> <br /> During the events of {{J}}, the take-away was attacked and (ineffectively) fire-bombed in the anti-Klatchian hysteria following the dispute over [[Leshp]]. Mr Goriff&#039;s son Janil, angry at this treatment considering he&#039;d lived in Ankh-Morpork his whole life, fired his father&#039;s crossbow at an innocent customer when he felt that it was about to happen again. <br /> <br /> The whole family were later deported with other Klatchian natives, despite the anger and grief many felt.
