One half of the owners of [[Teemer and Spools]], the first choice printing company in [[Ankh-Morpork]], much used for printing both the [[stamps]] for the [[Ankh-Morpork Post Office]] and the new [[Paper Money]] for the [[Ankh-Morpork Mint]]. Spools is the only one of the two who has met [[Moist von Lipwig]], but this is made up for by the fact that Moist ''is'' speaking to the person whose name is on the door.

The name Spools is a double pun: 
*A "spool" (noun) is a device around which thread, wire or ''paper'' is wound, normally a cylinder or spindle; and
*To "spool" (verb) in computing is to send a file to a queue so that it is ''ready to print'' on a ''printer''.
