The brother of Queen [[Artela]] and uncle of [[Pteppicymon XXVIII]], he was instrumental in persuading Pharoah [[Pteppicymon XXVII]] to over-rule the objections of [[Dios]], and send young Teppic to be trained at the Assassins' Guild in [[Ankh-Morpork]]. 

After all, it's not as if it's a mere ''job'', it's a ''profession'', and as such, suitable for an otherwise unemployed young Royal.
